What are passing light used for ?
Passing lights, or Lane Control Signals, are designed to authorize or prohibit passage. They are a suitable signal for managing traffic at toll plazas, tunnel entrances, or during roadworks.
They indicate the closure of a lane and allow drivers to merge into other lanes. There are different types:
- No entry: a red cross-shaped light
- Lane permitted: a green vertical arrow-shaped light
- Obligation to merge in the direction indicated by the arrow: a flashing yellow diagonal arrow-shaped light
Highly effective lighting equipment
Our traffic lights are equipped with high-intensity LEDs: red for the CROSS symbol and green for the ARROW symbol. Depending on the diameter of the light, the number of LEDs varies:
- 200mm diameter: 57 red LEDs and 52 green LEDs
- 300mm diameter: 92 red LEDs and 75 green LEDs
A contrasting metal plate can be added as an option to enhance the visibility of the signal. Power supply options include: 12V, 24V, or 230V.
Installation
The black-painted housing, brackets, and visor ensure lightness and robustness. This cross/arrow light pedestrian has an IP55 rating for protection against water and dust ingress.
It is available in different sizes: 200mm or 300mm diameter. It is mounted using adjustable brackets or straps.
